'The Aztecs'
This afternoon, Cesar Roque Lorenzo Flores, aka ‘The Smurf‘, was transferred to Mexico City, to be taken to the Office of Special Investigations into Organized Crime (OFDI), in an operation involving staff in the Attorney General of the Republic (PGR) and the National Defense Secretariat (SEDENA).
In addition to ‘The Smurf’, were included Jeremy Louis Byron, an American, Enrique Moreno, alias ‘El Kike’, Lorenzo Fernández Martínez, Julio Neri Cesar Perez, Juan Manuel Hernandez Avila Sanchez Reynaldo Garcia and Ramiro Chavez Alfredo Perez aka ‘The pill’ or ‘Casanova’, who left today of the private airport of Ciudad Juarez at about 6:00 pm. Roque Flores, alleged leader of the band ‘The Aztecs’ and the other seven members in possession of an arsenal were arrested Jan 14, by soldiers.
It is presumed that some of the weapons they carried were used in three murders committed high impact in the city, most recently on January 10 in the Central zone, against the local commander Pablo Vicente Soria Morales.
